Mother's heart - World Mission Society Church of God

When I arrived home, I noticed a scar on my second child’s face. I got really upset seeing that scar, on no other place but on his face. Though I asked him where he got that scar, he said it was just a scratch he got from a bookshelf.

Of course, I couldn't believe what he was saying, because it didn't look like a scratch at all. My child couldn't lie in front of me, since I raised him strictly.

When he happens to lie, he surely gets caught. He couldn't seem to look into my eyes, which made me doubt that he was telling the truth.

Later, I could hear the whole story. He got into a fight with his elder brother, and eventually got a scar. Though at times they had arguments, what made me furious was because it was the first time to see an actual scar. I couldn't stand what they have committed, so I grounded them. Though they cried, that they didn't mean to actually hurt each other, I couldn't possibly just get over with what they have committed. I was just angry that they have actually hurt each other, when there were no other siblings than themselves. Though many days passed, I was still upset seeing the scar on my second child's face.

But seeing my second child carefully putting medicine on my first child's face, it really made me laugh. Through this, I could realize how hurt our Heavenly Mother must be when She sees Her children not being able to get along with each other, and being all sulky without knowing how to consider or to understand. How painful would our Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother's hearts must be?

"How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity!"

Seeing my children, I could engrave God's words in my heart, of how God bestows life forevermore when brothers and sisters live together in unity. It is truly a difficult task for the people with different personalities and understandings to unite. That is why it must be a great blessing when that is accomplished.

I earnestly long to meet Heavenly Father when all of our brothers and sisters are covering each others' scars, and are united with continuous smiles and laughter. I give all thanks to our Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother for allowing me this realization through my children. With this realization, I want to become Their child who follows Them, by serving and considering all brothers and sisters in Zion.

Because She is Our Mother - World Mission Society Church of God

For a while it seemed like the cold weather was over, but it was cold again.

Because of this genial weather, my second son constantly took off his coat for few days.

At last, he started to cough and had fever 

I continuously told him to wear his coat, but he wouldn't just listen. 

After supper, I gave him some medicine and tucked him to bed early.

Our whole family happened to sleep early that day, and I also fell asleep being exhausted.

How much did I sleep?

I heard my child moaning silently in his room. 

Instinctively, I got up and went for my child.

My child was calling me with high fever.

On the other hand, my eldest son in the other room was peacefully asleep.

Surely I am a heavy sleeper. I didn't know how I heard that small sound, that very fainting voice... 

I thought it was fortunate that I heard it. 

As I laid a cold towel on his forehead, I was moved to tears. 

"This is the reason why our Heavenly Mother came for us!"

Is there any other reason needed for our Mother to come to this world, other than for Her children dying in pain? 

It is I, who always make mistakes, and it is our Mother, who bears all the costs.

However, She never leaves me but stays close by my side. 

Since I am a person who would never wake up even when it thundered, I could surely realize Mother's love through my second child. 

Though I also had fever and had a flu, because I am a mother, I first worry about my child. 

Because Heavenly Mother is with me, I believe I can overcome all kinds of illness that this world may give.

Punishment of those who has made the sacrifice of the cross in vain

The sacrifice of Jesus on the cross has two meanings with regard to the law. Firstly, it abolished the old covenant. Secondly, it established the new covenant.

Then he said, "Here I am, I have come to do your will." He sets aside the first [the old covenant] to establish the second [the new covenant]. And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. (Hebrews 10:9-10)

But God found fault with the people and said: "The time is coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah... By calling this covenant "new," he has made the first one [the old covenant] obsolete; and what is obsolete and aging will soon disappear. (Hebrews 8:8-13)

The old covenant nullified by the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross is the Law of Moses. Then, what is the new covenant established by Jesus?

They left and found things just as Jesus had told them. So they prepared the Passover... And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, "This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me." In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you. (Luke 22:13-20)

Jesus established the new covenant with the Passover bread and the Passover wine in the order of Melchizedek (Genesis 14:17-20.) Since the new covenant, the Law of Christ, was made, the old covenant, the Law of Moses, became nullified (1 Corinthians 9:20-21.) Nonetheless, it would be against God to cling to the old covenant and set it up again. Paul warned that those who do such would be cursed.

... by abolishing in his flesh the law with its commandments and regulations [the Law of Moses]. His purpose was to create in himself one new man out of the two, thus making peace, and in this one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility. (Ephesians 2:15-16)

"We who are Jews by birth and not 'Gentile sinners' know that a man is not justified by observing the law [the Law of Moses], but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by observing the law, because by observing the law no one will be justified. "If, while we seek to be justified in Christ, it becomes evident that we ourselves are sinners, does that mean that Christ promotes sin? Absolutely not! If I rebuild what I destroyed, I prove that I am a lawbreaker. For through the law I died to the law so that I might live for God. (Galatians 2:16-18)

All who rely on observing the law are under a curse, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law." (Galatians 3:10)

Those who rebuild the law with its commandments and regulations, or the old covenant, are under a curse. On the contrary, what about people who nullify the new covenant established through the sacrifice of Christ on the cross?

Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. How much more severely do you think a man deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God under foot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace? (Hebrews 10:28-29)

The blood of the covenant that sanctified us is the new covenant Passover established through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross.

While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, "Take and eat; this is my body." Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. (Matthew 26:26-28)

People who stick to the old covenant abolished by Jesus make the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross in vain and will be cursed. Likewise, people who reject the new covenant made by Jesus also make the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross in vain. They cannot escape punishment as it's written: "How much more severely do you think a man deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God under foot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?"

The Passover, the secret of the kingdom of heaven - World Mission Society Church of God

Now many people know that the Passover is the feast of God which allows us eternal life. However, some people consider those who keep the Passover as legalists or even heretics. How pathetic! Why do some realize the fact that the Passover should be observed while others do not although they all read the same Bible? Of course, we can find the answer in the Bible.

He replied, "The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them… This is why I speak to them in parables: "Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand. (Matthew 13:11-13)

It means that there are people who are allowed to understand the secrets of the kingdom of heaven while there are also those who are not allowed to. The Passover is a secret of the kingdom of heaven which contains the blessings of the forgiveness of sins and everlasting life. Therefore, not everyone can understand the Passover. What’s the difference between those who understand the Passover and those who don’t? 

Then I saw in the right hand of him who sat on the throne a scroll [the Scriptures] with writing on both sides and sealed with seven seals. And I saw a mighty angel proclaiming in a loud voice, "Who is worthy to break the seals and open the scroll?" But no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth could open the scroll or even look inside it. I wept and wept because no one was found who was worthy to open the scroll or look inside. (Revelation 5:1-4)

The Apostle John wept much on the island of Patmos when he heard the words of God would be sealed with seven seals and no one could open the scroll or even look inside it. It is natural that John could not help but cry. Since then, people could not understand the secrets of the kingdom of heaven although they see and read the Bible. It means that people were not able to know the Passover. Fortunately, however, the Bible would not be sealed for good. 

Then one of the elders said to me, "Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals." Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing in the center of the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and the elders. (Revelation 5:5-6)

It’s written that the scroll would be opened by a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, or Jesus who is the Root of David. Therefore, those who receive the Second Coming Jesus can know the secret of the kingdom of heaven or the Passover. In other words, those who keep the Passover have received the Second Coming Jesus.

Do you know who keeps the Passover today? Only the World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG) keeps the Passover in the world as did Jesus and the apostles 2,000 years ago. This means that the Second Coming Jesus has already come to this church. Who is the Second Coming Jesus? We cannot realize the true meaning of the Passover until we receive him. The Passover is the feast which Jesus desired to keep and the secret of the kingdom of heaven for which the Apostle John cried bitterly with the concern that it would not be observed.

Guided by Christ Ahnsahnghong and Heavenly Mother

I am a youth working as a guide in a public institution.
When I first started the job, I really wanted to quit it right away because of tough and tiring work.  However, as I assisted the people who needed my help, I could feel rewarded and even realize their warm heart that I have never felt before.
  
An old man who keeps saying, thank you for helping me, even though you must have been so busy.”
An old woman who slipped some snacks and coffee into my hand and students greeting with bright smile….
 
From time to time, something bad happens but only with the word of encouragement and consolation, my hurt feeling melts away. Only thing I did was to guide people to go to the right direction that they want to go, but from the elderly to students and kids greet each other with a nod.
 
All of a sudden, the lost brother and sisters occurred to me.  Still now, they should be wandering in the dark world, not knowing how to get to the kingdom of heaven.  We are very thankful when someone shows me the way in the building.  Then, what about Heavenly Mother who always guides us to the eternal heaven and even accompanying us so we do not get lost nor wander any more.  How much should we be thankful for Heavenly Mother?
 
As we are all God’s called ones who are now on the way to heaven, we’d better guide our lost brothers and sisters who are wandering to the right path to heaven.  That way, we could altogether enter the kingdom of heaven without fail.
 
Also, we should never be out of Heavenly Mother who is surely guiding us to the kingdom of heaven.

Family - World Mission Society Church of God

One day, I found someone who could only live as a recipient of organ transplant on TV.  Although most people desperately await organ donors with a faint hope, they are barely keeping their tough life day by day, for it is not easy to receive organs from others.
 
Those who give their organs to patients standing on the brink of death were mostly their family.  Only if the family could live healthily at their side, they did not even seek a reward for this.
 
A wife said that she used to blame her husband when he did not make much money even in good health.  Now, since he got sick and there was nothing she could do for him, she finally decided to transplant her organ to him, hoping only he could recover soon. 
 
From them, I could find much realization.  Our brothers and sisters in Zion are the spiritual ones who are given the flesh and the blood of God, who are now making a voyage in belief.  Then I started to think if I could willingly take some part of me to save my brothers who are in trouble and pain.
 
Born through the unconditional grace and love of God, we are surely essential parts of heavenly family who should accompany on the way back to our heavenly hometown.  That way, there should be no need to hate and envy each other.  From now on, we should become the children of God, who could enter the kingdom of heaven by loving our brothers and sisters with true heart and mind.

My Mom is the Best! - World Mission Society Church of God

My 10-year old son is affectionate especially to me, his mom. With sincerity, he says I am more beautiful than any other pretty entertainers on TV, which makes me feel good.

“My mom is the most beautiful.” 

“Can I marry you when I am grown-up?” 

“You are perfectly slim.”

Hearing his absurd and non-sense comment, I laugh away myself gigglingly but I don’t feel bad though. 

One day when it rained on and off, he was about go to the institute and I got him an umbrella in his hand. “Sweetheart, be sure to wear umbrella when it rains.” “ OK, mom. See you later. Oh, my friends! Mom, I’m leaving. Hey, let’s go together.” He is running after his friends, bouncing like a spring.

Grown-up as an only child without siblings, he loves friends so much that he readily gives his newly toys away. This son, however seemed to have given a slap on the head of his friend with umbrella and run away before getting out of the street entry. “oh, no.. what is he doing?”

Although I got worried, I couldn't just go and ask at once, but only had to wait for him to come back. Returning from the institute, he seemed to be very happy and bright as usual, as if nothing really happened at all.

“Sweetheart, why did you hit your friend with an umbrella and run away? It is not a thing to hit others but to use when it rains. Why did you do that?” “Mom, he said my mom looks ugly. You are the most beautiful, aren't you?

I was just floored but then felt kind of dwarfed at that moment  The reason was that Heavenly Mother suddenly flashed in my mind. Then I got to look back on myself in the past. Questioning myself how much I have felt proud of Heavenly Mother, I had no choice but to feel sorry and even shame because I have always been admitting myself children of Mother.  Even though I know I am such a prodigal sinner, I used to hold my righteous indignation and oppose to those who slander the truth and even Heavenly Mother.
 

I truly give all thanks and praise to Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother for allowing me to reflect upon myself as well as my mind toward Heavenly Mother through my boy having a purse heart toward his mom

A Half of a Fingernail

Being clumsy with the kitchen knife, I had a day when I almost cut half of my finger nail preparing a meal. 

My finger wouldn’t stop bleeding, so I quickly put gauze over it and tied it up with some rubber band. By the time I almost finished preparing the meal, my hand was burning and sore.

As my tears that I held back dropped down my eyes, someone flitted through my mind. The One who saved me with His precious blood…

“My Father.”

With that thought, I engraved God’s unfathomable love in my heart. Even cutting almost a half of my fingernail approaches me as a fear of pain.

Having His whole body full of blood, how much pain would He had felt?

The pain that I had removing the gauze that wouldn’t just come off easily that clung on the skin, cannot be compared to Father’s pain; taking off the robe forcefully that clung on His body all covered with blood.

The reason why He did not open His mouth when He was oppressed and afflicted, The reason why He did not open His mouth like a lamb to the slaughter, It is for my transgressions, my iniquities, and to bring me peace.

After I, myself have experienced and felt the pain, my heart burned realizing God’s love towards me.

The One who loved me until His whole body was all sore,

The One who loved me even enduring the mockery of His creation,

With what kind of word from this world can we describe Father’s greatness?

Not even once, but He had endured twice, of the stinging pain of His whole body. How can we dare know the end of God’s love for the sinner?

For God’s love, that nothing can exceed, I give all thanks with my whole heart.

The Things God Hates - World Mission Society Church of God

Those who do not keep God's feasts such as the Sabbath and the Passover quote the following verse to justify their faith:

Your New Moon festivals and your appointed feasts my soul hates. They have become a burden to me; I am weary of bearing them. (Isaiah 1:14)

Does this verse really mean that God hates such feasts as the Sabbath and the Passover? Why does He hate the feasts He appointed? 

There is something that is not consistent. We should see the context of before and after when reading the Bible. It's hard to understand the exact meaning with a single verse only. Let's see the context of before and after Isaiah 1:14.

Hear, O heavens! Listen, O earth! For the LORD has spoken: "I reared children and brought them up, but they have rebelled against me... Ah, sinful nation, a people loaded with guilt, a brood of evildoers, children given to corruption! They have forsaken the LORD; they have spurned the Holy One of Israel and turned their backs on him...  Hear the word of the LORD, you rulers of Sodom; listen to the law of our God, you people of Gomorrah!... Stop bringing meaningless offerings! Your incense is detestable to me. New Moons, Sabbaths and convocations-- I cannot bear your evil assemblies. Your New Moon festivals and your appointed feasts my soul hates. They have become a burden to me; I am weary of bearing them. (Isaiah 1:2-14)

To whom does He say this? God said this to people who have rebelled against God and have done wickedness in the eyes of God. Will those who have committed sin against God and who are corrupters keep God's feasts truthfully? It's obvious that they will not. On the contrary, the prophet Isaiah wrote clearly that the Sabbath should be kept.

Blessed is the man who does this, the man who holds it fast, who keeps the Sabbath without desecrating it, and keeps his hand from doing any evil. (Isaiah 56:2)

The fourth commandment of the Ten Commandments is about the Sabbath day. It's written in many places of the Bible that the seven feasts should be observed as well as the Sabbath.

These are the LORD's appointed feasts, the sacred assemblies you are to proclaim at their appointed times: The LORD's Passover begins at twilight on the fourteenth day of the first month. On the fifteenth day of that month the LORD's Feast of Unleavened Bread begins... "Say to the Israelites: 'On the fifteenth day of the seventh month the LORD's Feast of Tabernacles begins, and it lasts for seven days....'" (Leviticus 23:4-5; 34)

He [Jesus Christ] went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. And he stood up to read. (Luke 4:16)

And he said to them, "I [Jesus] have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer. (Luke 22:15)

When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place (Acts 2:1)

But when the Jewish Feast of Tabernacles was near... Not until halfway through the Feast did Jesus go up to the temple courts and begin to teach... On the last and greatest day of the Feast, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink... (John 7:2; 14; 37-39)

Those who obey the Words of God according to the Bible must keep God's feasts such as the Sabbath day, the Passover, the Day of Pentecost and the Feast of Tabernacles. The feasts which are hated by God and are not found in the Bible are man-made feasts God did not command. These include such feasts as the Sunday service, Christmas, Thanksgiving Day and Easter which have been arbitrarily appointed by men.

The Mother and the Bee

One hot summer day, a little boy was playing on the backyard.

Didn’t know why, but a huge bee was buzzing furiously on top of his head.

The more the child tried to hide from it, the bee flew over him more.

His fear went to extreme, so he went to his mother’s arms and cried.

Seeing her child with fear, the mother quickly covered his body with her skirt, and covered his face with her hands.

Then the bee stung the mother’s arm instead of the child’s, and the poisonous sting was stuck in her arm, so deep enough that it couldn’t be removed.

Afterwards, the bee couldn’t fly further away and was crawling on the mother’s arm.  

Bearing the pain, the mother said,

“My dear, don’t fear and come out. I have placed myself instead of you. Since the bee hurt me, it can’t hurt you no more.”

Only Bright Smile Must Appear on Mother’s Face

When the mother and the child were passing by a candy shop, the child started pestering,

“Mummy, I want candy. Candy!!”

“No. Since mommy’s got no money, I’ll get you next time.”

“Candy!! Candy!!”

Without concerning her words, the child kept on insisting.

The mother’s face hardened.

Once the child pestered, she wouldn’t stop.

“Mommy said, I got no money! Stop pestering!”

“Waahhh!!!”

The child sadly cried after getting a spank on her butt.

Sensing her mother, the child stopped crying.

Though the child stopped crying, the mother started to cry..

“Mummy. Don’t cry…”

The child wiped the mother’s tears with her hands and cuddled in her mother’s arms.

After few days, the mother and the child passed by a toy shop.

Feeling sorry for the last time, the mother asked the child.

“Have anything you want me to buy for you?”

“No Mummy. After you’ve got a lot of money you can buy me one!”

Considering the child’s age, she should have behaved like a child.

But the child already became mature, which made the mother feel bad.

After that very day, the child never asked her mother to buy something for her.

Not even once…

Though I can barely remember that incident, my mother always wipes her tears whenever she tells me about that day.

During hard times, I can imagine how heartbroken she must have been not being able to buy even a candy or a small toy for me.

Though ten years have passed, she must have regretted so much because she moves into tears whenever she talks about that day.

The painful memory engraved in my mother’s heart makes my heart feel bitter.

“Mother, don’t cry no more.

I am a happy person who grew up with your love, and that love retains in my heart.

I earnestly hope that only bright smile can appear on your face.”
